Chorioallantoic Pouches.

Chorioallantoic Pouches.
Chorioallantoic pouches are small pedunculated invaginations into the allantois arranged in a circle around the attachment of the umbilical cord. At the bottom of the picture is a hippomane also described as an allantoic calculus. The latter are generally free-floating in the allantoic fluid.
