Navigation of The Drost Project Visual Guide.

First, select the guide you wish to use from the menu on the left (Bovine, Bubaline, Equine, Ovine, Porcine, and Caprine are currently available). Once you have selected your guide the navigation is comprised of two components. The first is the animated circular menu on the left for selection of the subject you would like to view. Click on the main subject heading and the navigation drops down to allow the selection of a specific subject. There may not be enough room on the circle to display all main subject headings for the guide at one time. In this case there are "pg up" and "pg down" arrows on the right top and bottom of the navigation circle to allow rotation and display of all main subjects available within the guide.

After you select the main subject heading click on the specific subject you desire. The guide will then display the first image available in that subject and the second navigational component will appear. The second component is a menu bar at the bottom of the page which is used to select the individual images for a subject. If there are 10 or fewer images available you will only see numbers equal to the number of images within the subject (i.e. if 8 are available the numbers 1 through 8 will be displayed). Simply click on the numbers and the images may be viewed. If there are 10 or more images available then numbers 1 through 10 will initially be displayed. To view the additional images available in the subject click on the first shortcut arrow immediately to the right of the number ten. There are two pairs of short cut arrows that are to the left and right of the numbers on this menu bar. The first pair (immediately to the left and right of the first and last number) allows you to move in groups of ten to the left or right accordingly). The outer pair of shortcut arrows allows you to move to the first or last image within a subject.

To select a different subject simply move to the circular navigation menu and select a new subject.

If you wish to do a "Quicksearch" of all the Visual Guides type a keyword in the box to the right of the word "Quicksearch" (it is on the navigation bar at the bottom each image page) and then press your Enter key. This will bring up a page with the results and a search form that will allow you to make a more advanced search of all the Visual Guides or a single Visual Guide.
